University of Bologna: let’s talks about the crisis in Iran

Several Departments of the University of Bologna are organising a series of events to offer an interpretation of events through a historical approach

The University of Bologna has launched a series of initiatives aimed at delving into the issues related to the crisis in Iran and providing a toolkit to understand current events, to keep the focus on the Iranian situation, and to express closeness to those who are fighting and suffering for freedom.

Three events are scheduled starting this week, but the calendar will be further enriched with events following a historical, sociological, and political approach.

On Thursday 2 February, at 3PM in Aula 2 of Palazzo Hercolani (Strada Maggiore 45, Bologna) and online on Teams, Prof. Francesca Biancani and Dr. Giorgia Perle from the Department of Political and Social Sciences will talk about “La crisi in Iran. Strumenti per comprendere le dinamiche interne” (The crisis in Iran. A Toolkit for understanding international dynamics). The event will be held in Italian.

On Monday 13 February, at 3PM, in Aula 2 of Palazzo Hercolani (Strada Maggiore 45, Bologna) and online on Teams, the talk "The crisis in Iran. A Toolkit for understanding international dynamics” will be held, with Prof. Massimiliano Trentin and Prof. Lorenzo Zambernardi of the Department of Political and Social Sciences.

Wednesday 22 February, at 3PM, in the Aula Mondolfo in Via Zamboni, 38, Bologna and online, Prof. Lucia Raggetti, Prof. Gabriele Ferrario and Prof. Matteo Martelli of the Department of Philosophy and Communication will talk about “Persia Alchemica: Wisdom and Knowledge between Myth and History".
