As of today, Spreaker hosts a new channel - the University of Bologna and its three podcasts: "Unibo Global: LifeBites", "Alma Lectio" and "Research Corner". The University of Bologna has a new social media space to promote and disseminate current research topics and results, initiatives, culture, and experiences through the voices of scientists, intellectuals, renowned figures, and students. With its innovative content and through an accessible use of language, this channel intends to reach both the academic and non-academic communities and share knowledge and culture.
Unibo Global: LifeBites follows a first-year international student in his journey to Unibo while he chats and gets information from his fellow international students about their personal experiences at the University of Bologna. The first two episodes of LifeBites will be available on June 15 on all major audio-streaming platforms.
With one episode a month, Alma Lectio consists of keynote speeches held by scientists, intellectuals, and illustrious guests of the University of Bologna. The first episode (out on June 15) features Professor Luciano Floridi, who will talk about the complexity of technological innovations and how to navigate our contemporary world.
Finally, on Research Corner we can listen to Unibo's stories of research and innovation. For instance, "Road to 2030" will keep us informed about sustainability and how research can face the challenges of present times by following the 5Ps principle: People, Partnership, Peace, Prosperity, and Planet. The first episode of Research Corner will be released on June 23 and, from then, every Wednesday until July 21, eventually resuming on Wednesday, September 1. This podcast is part of the palimpsest Waiting for the Researchers' Night - a series of events and initiatives warming us up for the better known European Researchers' Night that will take place on September, 24 2021.
This project is coordinated by the University's Communication Office. All three podcasts are already available on Spreaker and soon also on other audio-streaming platforms such as Spotify, Apple Podcast, Google Podcasts and IHeartRadio.
