While Bologna welcomes back its students getting back to their classes, the Local Public Health Department and the University of Bologna have worked together to open a vaccination centre specifically thought for students who have not received the anti-COVID-19 vaccination yet. This is an important initiative intended to protect young people and the entire university community, thus allowing for the activities of the University of Bologna to be carried out in total safety.
The vaccination centre will open from Monday 20 to Friday 24 September, from 8:00 to 14:00 in the Occupational Medicine Clinic, via San Donato 19/2.
Students wishing to get their anti-Covid-19 vaccination at this facility can book an appointment through an online form. At the link for online booking, they will find the forms to fill in. They will need to bring these forms to the vaccination centre and show them alongside their tax code (codice fiscale).
Next week, the medical-nursing staff of the Local Public Health Department (USL Bologna) aided by some interns of Hygiene and Preventive Medicine and USL pharmacists will administer up to 120 vaccinations per day using mRNA vaccines (Pfizer or Moderna) to university students.
The University of Bologna is currently informing all enrolled students about this initiative by email. This vaccination operation stems from the collaboration between the Local Public Health Department and the University of Bologna and their common investment in a safe resumption of academic activities. Indeed, this is crucial to the growth and future of young people and the wellbeing of the entire city.
