The event organised by the University Museum Network in collaboration with the Far Eastern Art Study Centre and the Yamagata University is back

There will be conferences, meetings, teaching laboratories and events including two special afternoons: the first, on Friday 8 March is dedicated to kimono dressing, where four randomly selected participants will have the opportunity to wear these extraordinary traditional clothes; the second, on Sunday 10 March, is dedicated to the tea ceremony.

There are also two exhibitions scheduled at the Museum of Palazzo Poggi: “Finery and fantasy. Kimonos in Japanese ukiyo-e prints” inaugurated on 24 February and open until 23 June, and “Yamagata, Creative City” (2 March - 1 April), which is an exhibition on the history of this city from the 17th century to the present day.

This initiative started in 2019 and is proposed annually. It is organised by the Museum of Palazzo Poggi - University Museum Network | University of Bologna and the Far Eastern Art Study Centre, in collaboration with the Yamagata University.
