A musical break at Palazzo Poggi

The fourth season of the event “Una pausa in musica” (A Musical Break),' promoted by Collegium Musicum, kicks off, bringing chamber music to the heart of the University, with five appointments at Palazzo Poggi (Aula Carducci, Via Zamboni 33), from 4 April to 9 May, at 1:00 PM, to enjoy a musical moment during the lunch break.

The 2024 edition will lead listeners on a journey through the universe of chamber music, with a musical itinerary consisting of four piano concerts interspersed with a trio of piano, flute, and cello – featuring a mix of beloved classical pieces and unusual discoveries, in keeping with the tradition of Collegium Musicum.

Guglielmo Verzelli, a music and philosophy enthusiast, will open the event on Thursday, 4 April, showcasing young talents from the University of Bologna who have decided to combine their musical studies with their passion for music, performing on the piano with pieces by Šostakovič and Ustvol'skaja.

Admission to the concerts is free, with mandatory reservation through the Eventbrite platform. The performances will also be published on the Collegium Musicum's Facebook page.
