At the Forlì Campus, there is now a new space for teaching Unibo students and for all citizens: a multipurpose hall with 178 seats, completely renovated and equipped with audio-video systems and everything necessary for its full operation.
Inaugurated by Rector Giovanni Molari, Forlì Mayor Gian Luca Zattini, Emanuele Menegatti, President of the Forlì Campus, and Valerio Melandri, University and Culture Councillor of the Municipality of Forlì, the former Campostrino gym is ready to welcome students for classes and to host cultural events and conferences in the evenings and on weekends.
The structure, built in 1888, has been a place dedicated to gymnastics activities for generations of Forlì residents. With the increase in the number of students enrolled at the Forlì Campus, the University and the municipal administration have jointly opted for a change in land use, and today it aims to be a place open to all citizens, whether students or not.
"The renovations did not involve any changes to the structure," stated Rector Giovanni Molari, "and I was very pleased that it provided support during the flood emergency. We hope that we will soon be able to inaugurate the final wing of the campus and provide stability," commented Rector Giovanni Molari."
"The university is growing. "Medicine is about to be fully integrated," a, President of the Forlì Campus, "and soon Naval Engineering will be introduced." "The number of courses is increasing, and consequently, so are the enrolments at our campus. We had and still have an urgent need for classrooms like this one, so we are very satisfied”, continued Emanuele Menegatti.
