Free sports activities to promote the physical and mental wellbeing of students at the University of Bologna and to address emotional and psychological distress: this is the goal of PRO-BEN – UNIST-HEALTH, a project funded by the Ministry of University and Research, with the participation of Cus Bologna and the Department of Quality of Life Studies at the University of Bologna.
The initiative is designed to help students feel more energised, motivated and at ease by making physical activity accessible to all, while also providing a sense of enjoyment and greater body awareness.
Academic pressure, sedentary lifestyles and a lack of physical activity can expose students to moments of stress, anxiety and fatigue during their time at university.
Physical activity not only improves physical health, but is also a key factor in regulating mood, reducing emotional distress and improving concentration. Incorporating movement into the academic routine helps both body and mind recharge, develop awareness and build resilience.
