From Monday 14 to Wednesday 16 October, Bologna will host FAPESP Week Italy. The initiative was organised by the University of Bologna and the São Paulo Research Foundation to strengthen the bond between Italy and Brazil and foster new multidisciplinary collaboration opportunities between researchers of the two countries, promoting research and technological innovation.
The event – open to all professors and researchers interested – will feature academic sessions in which the newest scientific results will be presented and discussed. The relationship between Italy and Brazil and the cultural dimension linked to the migration phenomenon will be analysed. Topics related to cultures, intangible heritage and interdisciplinary networks, as well as innovation and industrial collaboration will also be addressed. Additionally, areas such as agriculture and sustainable development, health and environment, technology and innovation will be discussed. Lastly, future challenges for research and collaboration will be examined.
The FAPESP Week series of symposiums, which was started in 2011 and has now come to its nineteenth edition, has promoted numerous partnerships between Brazilian researchers and colleagues from all over the world. FAPESP Week also represents a precious opportunity to attract new researchers, encouraging the use of research funds available to further increase collaborations.
