DNS Roots

With Paul Mockapetris, the creator of the Domain Name System (DNS), and author of the frst implementation of SMTP, the Internet’s mail protocol . At present, he is a director and Chief Scientist at Threatstop, a realtime threat prevention service. In this talk Mockapetris will look at the background behind the DNS, evaluate the rationale(s) behind the original design, and look at how well the original design anticipated the evolution that took place.
