On Tuesday, 27 February, at 5:30 p.m., the exhibition "Design X the City" will open at Salaborsa (Bramante Corridor, within the spaces of Innovazione Urbana Lab - Piazza Nettuno, 3 - Bologna). Curated by the Advanced Design Unit research group with support from the Department of Architecture at Alma Mater, this exhibition is part of the event "DESIGN X. 10 YEARS OF DESIGN @UNIBO," commemorating the tenth anniversary of the founding of the Industrial Product Design Degree programme at University of Bologna.
The exhibition will run until 23 March, offering visitors an opportunity to explore a curated selection of projects. These projects, developed in collaboration with local bodies and organizations, aim to illustrate the dynamic interplay between design and the modern-day city. Furthermore, they showcase the most notable design experiences from the educational journeys of the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes in Advanced Design.
The exhibition will delve into the examination of individuals, their behaviours, both individual and collective. It will also explore the dynamics of resource and knowledge exchange among various stakeholders involved in the creation and utilization of products, services, and processes. Each project will underscore the keen focus on understanding human needs and its pivotal role within the realm of design
