Enjoy Your University Experience Off the Clock with Evening Events and Activities

 UFO (Università Fuori Orario) is an innovative project led by the University of Bologna that aims to transform the university citadel into a hub for evening events and activities, open to all. At Via Zamboni 38, a diverse programme—regularly updated on the website—invites participants to explore new interests, broaden their experiences, and connect with others. Alongside fostering social engagement and learning, the project also aims to enhance the area’s appeal and safety, creating a welcoming and vibrant environment even in the evening hours.

Participants will have the chance to learn how to communicate through video podcasts, engage in multilingual conversations, explore Italian culinary traditions, take part in documentary photography or theatre workshops, and join discussions on academic and career guidance, climate change, and much more.

By opening its doors after hours, the University is creating a new evening space for students and the wider community to experience the university district in a different way.  Events will take place in the evening, making it easy for those with daytime commitments to join.

The initiative will start with educational and hands-on activities but will gradually expand to include literary and artistic events, discussions with civil society on current issues, film screenings, and much more.

This is a unique opportunity to learn beyond traditional hours, discover new knowledge and skills for free, and contribute to making the university district an even more dynamic and safe space for everyone.
