An Afternoon as a Student at the University of Bologna

In the spring, the orientation event takes place in person: high school students and final year students experience university life in Bologna, through welcome and discussion sessions and immersive experiences

At the University of Bologna, from the 1st to the 4th April and during the week of the 9th to the 13th of June, the orientation event will take place in person: high school students and final year students will be able to spend an afternoon in Bologna as actual university students, through welcome and discussion sessions and immersive experiences such as escape rooms and speed-dating sessions with degree programmes.

Lecturers and students from the University of Bologna will introduce potential future students to life at the University, revealing not only its educational opportunities and future prospects, but also its locations and history: guided tours of departments, from laboratories to libraries, will be accompanied by thematic meetings in classrooms where they can discover the most innovative research results.

At the same time, laboratories, workshops, simulations and interactive itineraries will show what it means to study and work in a particular field. For example, students will be able to build an electrical circuit, analyse an archaeological find, simulate a trial, design an app, draw an architectural structure or write a scientific article.

In addition to studying, University is a life stage, that aims to develop interaction and collaboration skills: for this reason, the in-presence events will be animated by convivial moments, team quizzes, thematic games and debates with students from the University of Bologna in order to share experiences and expectations.

To make knowledge more accessible, there will be dedicated degree programme stands where lecturers and staff from the University of Bologna will be available to answer questions and resolve doubts and uncertainties.
