Dear Colleagues, dear Students,
we come to the end of a complex year, full of unexpected events, filled with many unknowns.
During 2022, we witnessed a definitive return to authentic life, and we rediscovered the pleasure of meeting in presence and talking in person, which restores our full identity as a university community. At the same time, we suffered the setbacks of major international crises, which threaten us as individuals and as a community.
In this difficult context, our Alma Mater continued to pursue its institutional goals with growing responsibility, responded to the current crises with a determined desire for change and improvement, and achieved results of great significance in terms of research, education, public service, and welfare at work. All this was possible thanks to the generous contribution of all of you.
My best wishes to you and your loved ones are filled with gratitude. Thank you to all the colleagues who have allowed us to face the challenges of this difficult time in the best possible way. Thank you to the students who in institutional venues and in informal dialogues have urged us to improve.
Being confident of our potential and our unity of purpose, we can look forward to the coming years of working together.
I wish you all a well-deserved rest, looking forward to seeing each other again and to starting the new year together,
Giovanni Molari
