For a Fairer World: the 2024 Edition of the University of Bologna Summer Camps

Registrations are open for activities designed for young people aged 7 to 15, initially only to the technical-administrative and teaching staff of the University of Bologna, and then to the general public. Three weeks of sport, fun and workshops are organised in collaboration with the University Sports Centre of Bologna - CUSB and with the support of the Del Monte Foundation.

Registrations are now open for the University of Bologna's 2024 Summer Camps “For a Fairer World”, organised in collaboration with CUSB and with the support of the Del Monte Foundation. Sport, workshops, and fun will shape young ambassadors of rights, ready to contribute to the creation of a fairer, more collaborative, and inclusive society.

For three weeks, divided into three sessions (from 24 to 28 June; from 1 to 5 July and from 8 to 12 July), kids born between 2009 and 2017 can engage and learn together about the importance of respect, cooperation, and fairness, while also learning how to promote and protect their fundamental rights. Specifically, this edition of the Summer Camps includes activities and workshops focusing on the fundamental rights laid down in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Registrations are open from Monday 18 March until Wednesday 20 March at 5:30 p.m. for the technical-administrative staff only. From Thursday 21 March registrations are open to children of the teaching staff and from Tuesday 26 March to the general public. Registration is subject to availability.

The weekly fee for the children of the University of Bologna technical-administrative staff is €115.00; for the children of the University of Bologna teaching staff, it is €145.00; and for the general public, it is €190.00. CUSB membership is mandatory for the University staff, at a cost of €5.00.

The Summer Camps will be held at the Record sports facility (Via del Pilastro, 8 - Bologna) from Monday to Friday, for the entire day (from 7:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.). They will be coordinated and conducted by CUSB educators and instructors, assisted by professors and researchers of the University of Bologna for workshops and learning activities.

The University, in collaboration with CUSB, has confirmed its commitment to expand this important work-life balance service for summer 2024, making it available to the entire staff of the Romagna campuses. Through a series of agreements with longstanding partners in the region, there will be various sport and recreational activities to choose from in Forlì, Cesena, Ravenna and Rimini.
