The University of Bologna's new communication campaign is launching. In the coming months, it will populate with faces and stories the web and social channels of the University, but also various public spaces in many Italian cities.
The claim "University can change your life" aims to send a simple but decisive message in support of the right to education and Italy's university system. It's an urgent and current stance in response to an increasingly widespread narrative that questions the value of a degree and the university experience.
So, it's not just a campaign aimed at potential students to enrol at the University of Bologna. It's also an opportunity to assert the role of culture, knowledge, education, and sociality as elements of personal growth and therefore societal growth.
"In an era of uncertainties, we want to offer a vision of broad perspectives. Our goal is to address the vulnerability of our time by promoting enrolment in university as a step taken with confidence and awareness: awareness of belonging to an inclusive community that believes in the value of rights and hospitality and is committed to supporting everyone in their uniqueness. - says Rector Giovanni Molari - We launch this message of openness and possibility through the testimonies of those who have studied and are studying in our university. We are not talking about ourselves as an institution. We won't enumerate data, rankings, teaching and research excellences. We give the floor to those who want to share reflections, emotions, memories, anecdotes about their university adventure. A plurality of voices that provides an authentic image of the university experience and testifies to how such an experience can truly change lives."
